She suggested Risk for impaired peripheral tissue profusion for a BKE (below knee amputee) I can not find anything that even resembles this diagnosis, and I asked her if there was such a thing and she said yes. Using the NANDA list thats in our current books. Is there a site I can go to to find all current NANDA diagnosis?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what nsg dx book are you using? I use the Ackley & have it in my book. Try looking again under Ineffective Tissue Perfusion and then look under the defining characteristics. HTH!

Thanks you two. I have that site bookmarked xanthippe, and had been there but was drawing a blank on the risk for impaired.

Mistylou, we use Tuckers' Patient Care Standards and Sparks Nursing Diagnosis Reference Manual. You would think that as far as whats covered, all books should have all the same NANDA diagnosis's . But seems not true. Thanks again and I will look at ineffective tissue profusion and see where it leads.

There is a diagnosis in my nursing diagnosis book: Ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion r/t interruption of arterial and venous flow.

You also might want to consider Impaired tissue integrity r/t mechanical factors.

Also consider diagnoses related to pain, fear and anxiety, knowledge deficit, adjustment problems to the loss of a limb, change in lifestyle, and lossing independence.
