Working while in Nursing School??

I am preparing to apply for nursing school in August with a projected start date in January. I have a career now and unfortunately make the most money in my family, so I can't stop working to attend nursing school. My boss is very supportive and is willing to work with me on my hours during school, but they say that it is a bad idea to work at all while you are in nursing school. We simply can't afford for me not to work. My job is fortunately easy (for me at least). I am a Budget and IT Systems Manager now and the work is really very easy for me. I'm hoping this will be to my advantage while in school. Does anyone have experience working while going to nursing school? Any advice?
