Work out of YOUR school District? Interview????!

I've been a nurse for less than a year, and I'm VERY interested in being a school nurse. I have a young elementary school child and a baby, and I think being a school nurse would work well for our family.

Anyway... I just applied online yesterday to MY school district b/c they had a few openings. I'm really hoping to hear something back and get an interview.

Well, I decided to look outside my school district, and I called the head nurse to see what the requirements were to be a school nurse over there. She told me one of her nurses JUST left and there is an opening, but it's not listed. The school is about 15 minutes from me, and I maybe have to oversee a couple of schools with the one being 15 mins away as my "home" school I guess. I have an interview next week with her.

What kind of questions should I expect? Are they similar to ones in a hospital or completely different?

Also, do any of you work outside your immediate school district?

If so, (and if you have school age children) is your child attending the school you work at?
