When to follow up

I am a new grad RN and I was referred for a RN position in the hospital I already work at, in a non-nursing role. I did not go through HR to apply for this position, I met directly with the director of the unit last week.Yesterday she emailed me that she was handing over my resume to HR to start the recruitment process. She stated HR will contact me to set up the next interview with the staff of this new unit and continue the hiring process as appropriate.

My question is when should I contact HR if they do not get back to me?

Do I need to get a new suit for the next meeting? I have already met this HR person in the past when I applied for another position but unfortunately did not get. So I have his email address.
