When to apply

Hi everyone! I am set to graduate at the end of October 2014. I missed the most recent application deadlines for most student nurse internships in Illinois and am wondering where this leaves me. I know that a lot of hospitals offer another application date for student internships in August with start dates in the fall, but the new grad residencies are also posted at the same time. Applying for the new grad positions makes more sense, however, most of the start dates for those residencies are around the first week - ten days of October. If my graduation date isn't until the 25th or so of October, will I still be able to start a new grad residency if I make it through the application process?
