Now that I have finished all of the nursing concepts and prereq's for Excelsior, what's next...of course it's the weekend and no one is home at Excelsior! I'm just trying to get ahead...and I am actually bored with no studying to do!!

Specializes in Cardiac Care, Palliative Care.

Excelsior will send you an email in about a week stating that you're eligible to take the FCCA. You will have to call to pay for the FCCA, and they will send the paper form exam in the mail. Then you'll get another email saying you're CPNE eligible, and they will send your CPNE cd-rom study guide in the mail. You can apply for the CPNE right now too, so you won't have to be bored! The application can be downloaded from the Excelsior website. I recommend starting the CPNE application early, since you'll have to get medical/health records together and a most recent annual physical exam signed by your doctor. Good luck!
