Western Compressed Nursing Program Fall 2014

Hey! Just wondering who else applied for the Western compressed nursing program for Fall 2014?! And if anyone has heard back yet or knows when the offers start going out?

Featured Replies

I applied. My application is not yet complete because Western has not yet processed one of my transcripts. If I remember from looking at a thread from last year, I think people may have started getting responses by late february/early March, but I'm not sure. If I find the old thread I'll post it.

Ah ok, thanks! I have an offer from York that expires on Feb. 26 so I was kind of hoping to hear from Western before then, but oh well!

I was offered admission to Western today! I will be accepting after I cancel my acceptance to York (so a spot will be opening up for those waiting to hear from York!). Can't wait to hear from my future classmates!

Hey gatsby09, what was your average? I also applied for the nursing program, but I havent heard whether I have been accepted yet, and I was wondering what average you have and from what university. Thank you

I had a 9.1/10 cGPA (an A I think) from uOttawa, I finished a degree in Biomedical Sciences. I also have about 2 years of volunteering in the hospital and research experience, so I don't know if that contributed as well. Hopefully you hear back soon!!

I got a deferral about a week ago - how many others received this?

Hey! I got an 3.89 cgpa for my last 60 credits (10 full-course equivalent) according to OMSAS 2014. How will Western convert it into a specific percentage, since OMSAS only provides a range of percentage for each OMSAS value? Thank you.

I did- thats why I'm worried about what marks I will need to maintain to be accepted
