Hi, so I have been an Oncology/medsurg nurse for a year now. Looking at wanting to work in a PCU/IMC type setting. I think though that I need to brush up on my knowledge. I read an article that said there is a progressive care unit certification book that you can buy. I want something that really covers everything from telemetry strips to lab values to medications to common disease processes in that area. Personally I can tell when my patient is too sick for my unit but not sick enough for the ICU and vice versa.
