OK, not sure if there have been any current threads on this subject, but am going to be new to the area and will be in town to visit both of these schools this month(flying in with my hubby to look at the area for relocation from California!). A little history, I ultimately want to get into an ABSN program at either Duke or Chapel Hill, but since those are super competetive and my cum GPA from my past college coursework is barely a 3.0...I'm thinking I better have alternatives. So when we move I may not have all my pre reqs done (Anatomy, Phys, Micro, etc). So what school has a better reputation? Watts or Wake?
Will be looking at Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Cary, Chapel Hill as potential cities to move to.
Thanks soo much!!!
p.s.s. does anyone also have any recommendations on good schools to get an LVN in case I need a back up back up plan? :)
I hear that there is an LVN to BSN option through Indiana State so that could be an option too I suppose.
p.s.s.s I have my CNA from CA...and will need to take the challenge exam to be listed on the NC registery...
