VA Residency

Hello,

I am in last semester of nursing school (BSN), graduating in May 2023. 
I applied to Nursing Assistant position at VA Dallas last year, and just received the offer, starting on March 12.

Do you think I need to accept the offer and apply for residency? Does it make any difference if I do not accept the offer, apply for residency, and start working there? Someone told me that there may be difference in pay scale.

Another question is, what is the difference between Post-baccalaureate nursing residency program and Transition to practice program?
