UW MEPN program

Is anyone applying to this program this year? I can't believe they did away with the FNP area for MEPN students!

I know this program is really competitive, would anyone mind telling me if they got in, what application profile was like? Such as GPA, GRE scores, experience, etc.? I'm just debating whether or not to even apply and need some guidance on the matter.

Thanks!

The U of Washington is not eliminating the FNP track. Rather, it has a new doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) degree for the FNPs. See:

Here's more info about it:

I would advise you to talk to a guidance counselor about your particular situation. Yes, it is extremely competitive to get in. Experience working with patients, involvement with the underserved, and knowing what an NP's job is like will influence your application. It goes without saying that your GPA, especially your pre-reqs classes, GRE and essays are important too. The UW is not the #1 nursing school in the country for nothing! Good luck.
