Utica College Accelerated Program

Hi guys. I would like some info about the living situations for Utica College's accelerated program in Syracuse, NY. I am considering attending there in the Fall 2015, however I am not from the Syracuse area and there are no on-campus housing for this program (according to the admissions). Someone from admissions told me that there are apartments available about a 15-minute drive from campus, but I don't own a car... I am thinking there will be other students from the program that I can ride to campus with or public transportation...

I just want to anyone knows about the apartments for this program and its convenience or about the public transportation in this area...

Thanks,

Alicia

I go there.

There is a bus stop that stops right in the building's parking lot if you want to consider taking a bus to campus. There are also multiple housing options within walking distance that I've noticed. I'd suggest taking a drive up here and looking around... there are lots of places to live that are fairly close. Or, if you do live in Norstar (I assume that's the complex they suggested) a lot of students generally live in that housing community, you could probably end up making friends with someone in the program or living with a roommate with a car. :)

Thank you so much.

And I would like some insight about the program

I heard all the classes are online, is it manageable?

and does the school offer a lot of aid or scholarships to accelerated students?

It's definitely difficult, you have to keep self-motivated and organized. You basically have to eat, sleep, and breathe nursing. But I feel like it's like that in a lot of programs.

I get financial aid through FAFSA, so that's doable but I'm not sure about scholarships.

About how long did it take for you to get an admissions decision to the Liverpool, NY location once all materials were submitted?
