I'm faced with a difficult decision regarding my future in nursing school. I was admitted into both the UF jax Accelerated nursing program and the UNF Accelerated nursing program. I'm very torn as to which one to chose. Everyone says I can't go wrong with either program they both have exceptional pass rates. I unfortunately do not know very much about the UF Accelerated Jax program though (ex. Current students experience, professors, clinical areas etc.) can anyone help offer me some advice regarding this decision!

I'M IN THE SAME BOAT!!!!! I'm currently leaning towards UNF. I've had a lot more positive interactions with their staff (Kenneth isn't very warm and fuzzy), their pass rates are among the highest in the state, and I've heard a lot of rave reviews from current/former students. UNF students are extremely respected in hospitals, they get to do clinicals in multiple GREAT hospitals, and hospitals literally come to UNF to recruit. UF in Jax is such a new program so I'm sure it still has some kinks, I've also talked to some students in the regular program who aren't pleased with the education they have gotten. I'll miss the name recognition UF brings, but I think UNF is such a good option for me.
Yes!! It was such a hard decision I'm a UNF alumni and have always heard/seen how great their program was. I ended up talking with a UF Jax student and she had stated some of the same things about lack of clinical spots and other issues you stated. Which is expected in any new program. I think the UF jax program is amazing but I think UNF is going to work best for me. I chose UNF and emailed my acceptance yesterday! Let me know what you choose! You still can't go wrong with either! Congrats :)
Ugh I tried to find a UF Jax person FOREVER but I wasn't able to since there's only one cohort lol. I'm actually in charge of the FB group for UNF APL Summer 2017 if you wanna search it in FB and join it!
I ended up biting the bullet and emailing Kenneth for a Jax student contact lol. But thank you I'll definitely search it out!

I just got accepted into the UNF accelerated program for Summer 2017 and I currently work at UNF, so I've met most of the nursing administrative team. They are all so nice. I love it at UNF and would not go anywhere else. I would advise to follow your instincts about which program is best for you, and consider yourself blessed to be able to choose! Good luck!
