TWU Fall 2015 Weekend/Evening Program

Hello! I got my email yesterday too and of course I will be accepting! My name is Maria Acosta and I live here in Dallas and have a full time job as an insurance claims adjuster. I am super excited but also nervous at the same time. I have a previous bachelors from Texas A&M where I graduated with a communications degree. I started working for Farmers/Bristol West Insurance last January and plan to continue working during school if at all possible. What about you?

I am so glad to hear that you received an acceptance email as well! I currently work for a medical software company in Plano, and also plan to continue working during school. I graduated from OU in 2012 with a health exercise science degree. Congratulations and I look forward to meeting you in May!!!

Congratulations to you both!!! I applied to the Houston Campus and we should be hearing something soon. Is there a change on your TWU Profile information that shows you were accepted? (besides the email)

I just tried to look around to see if anything changed in the portal and nothing did. And in the other site where you can "track your application" it still says applicant and it's said that for a long time now, even when I got accepted to TWU in early January.

Hey Maria! I was going through the acceptance paperwork tonight, and noticed the portion of the CPR training needed. My certification expired a couple years ago. If yours is not current, I just signed up for a CPR class April 11th if you want to join me.

Yeah I haven't had one in years! Where did you sign up at? I tried to sign up for a health care provider one and there were a bunch of different types and I was super confused about which one to pick.

I did the class off the website they provided. The CPR Certification for Health Care providers fell under BLS-Heath Care provider, so I signed up for that class. I think/hope that is the correct class. I have it scheduled for April 11 at 8AM

Ok I think I will sign up for that one as well. Did you add the manual at the end?

Yes I bought the manual too. I received the manual in the mail a couple days ago. Have you already taken pathophysiology?

I havent taken patho yet. I thought about taking it in the summer online and I emailed the advisor but she hasn't responded to see if I will be able to.

So advisor responded. She said that the summer online patho is reserved for RN to BS program students and that if I want to take it I'd have to get on the wait list for it. Otherwise will just have to take the online one in the fall which is the one all night and weekend students who haven't taken patho yet will have to enroll in.

Hi Everyone! My name is Jackie and I am attending the weekend program this Fall. Wondering if you guys have received any further information for orientation next Friday? I am super excited to meet everyone and get more information around shots etc..
