Trying to get more experience

Hey everyone,

I am facing a dilemma and wanted to see if other nurses are having trouble with the same problems. I have been a nurse for 2 and a half years and I have been trying to get a staff job. I traveled within the past year and am currently attempting to relocate to Texas. I have only ever done NICU as an RN and worked with adults as a PCT for 3 years before becoming a nurse. With that being said, I have applied to MULTIPLE positions in pediatrics (ER, PICU, NICU, CVICU), adult jobs in the ER, OR, PACU, school nurse positions, clinic jobs, random remote RN positions, research RN positions, RN positions for Summer camps, case management (although I know I am not qualified for it) literally anything you name it I have applied for. I keep getting turned down before an interview or if I go to an interview I am told "You don't have enough nursing experience". Most jobs I have applied for have just not even called me back at all and have decided to go with another candidate. I have even submitted to the same jobs twice and I am still not able to get a call back. I just have to know is anyone else experiencing this?
