Tired of Testing

I found out yesterday(tuesday) that I will have to continue Firstlab until Sept. 2012. It has been over 2yrs. All results have been negative, I'm attending meetings and have been clean since Aug. 20, 2005. I was literally scared straight once I lost the only job I ever wanted to do and was good at. My doc was Percocet and I honestly don't care if I ever see one or any narcotic ever again. I want to work however, my restrictions from the BON are permanent narc restriction, no HomeHealth, no Dialysis, no Pool, no school nurse job What is out there for nurses with all of the restrictions. Also I have a theft record that could have been expunged this past March but we didn't have $500. Would obtaining a lawyer at this point make any difference? Any suggestions please?

Hi TOT..Did they say why they were continuing your testing for so long? is it worth contacting a lawyer about? I vote yes..even if you need to borrow money to do so. Just some thoughts. I am not sure what state you are in, but here in Texas it is the arrest record that they are concerned with and it must be disclosed whether the conviction was expunged or not. Have you considered insurance nurse work, call center nurse work..I know this is very hard, but please do not give up hope.
