Thinking of moving

My husband and I have been thinking about relocating from Ohio. The two places we are looking at are Orlando, FL and Houston, TX. Orlando is our first choice, my husband is from Tampa and his mother still lives there. Orlando is not too far from Tampa and according to my research Orlando has more healthcare opportunities than Tampa. Houston is our second choice because it's just what we chose. My aunt lives in Killeen, TX and she said Houston isn't a bad place to live. I just wanted to get others opinions on these two cities to live in and the job opportunities available, as well as the cost of living to income ratio.

As far as my experience, I have been a nurse for 3 years. The majority of my experience is Med/Surg/Telemetry in which I have charge nurse experience and was a Daisy Award winner. I currently have been working as a Float Nurse for 5 months. I have my bachelor's degree and am currently studying to take the CMSRN certification test in the next couple months;my job requires float nurses to have a certification in any area of our choice. I'm not too particular on the area to work in as long as it's in a hospital. My dream job is the ER but I also enjoy neuro, trauma, ortho and surgical units.

If you have other suggestions on other places to live that have a decent income compared to cost of living and job opportunities please share. I look forward to reading your feedback. Thanks in advance.
