Hello all. I take the NCLEX for the first time tomorrow at 8 AM July 21st. I am so nervous! I did the Kaplan 4 day course and finished their trainers and practice questions but I still feel under prepared! The stress and worry is killing me. I have a job waiting for me at a very good hospital.
Any relaxation techniques or things to do to help calm my nerves?

Deep breathe. You know more than you think! The day before mine (NCLEX-RN), I felt like I was forgetting everything and it was an awful feeling. But... the truth is, you can't know everything anyways so don't stress yourself out. When you sit down in that seat you have to take a deep breath and focus the best you can. That's exactly what I did and I passed in 85/86 questions. You can do this. Have confidence in yourself. That's the most important thing. The test is so random that it's close to impossible to 100% prepare for the NCLEX. You have to study your best. Also, go over lab values and isolation precautions (contact, droplet, airborne). Just cover the basics. Remember, NCLEX is minimum competency. You do not have to have a perfect score. :) If during the exam you feel like you're getting every question wrong, that's probably a good sign because I felt that way too. GOOD LUCK to you!!!

I'm testing tomorrow too, and have taken the Kaplan course BUT just finished QT 7 last night and haven't done ANY Q-bank questions. So yeah I'm a little worried. I scored in the high 60's- low 70's for test 1-3 (and 75% on my diagnostic) but only 58 and 59% for QT 6 and 7. I can't even reschedule the test now, so I'm, just going to go for it and hope I'm not there for 265 questions!
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

The day before my test I just tried to turn my brain off. You know the information and no amount of studying at this point will do you any good. It will only stress you out!
So watch your favorite movies or tv show. Go for a drive, go swimming, or take a walk! Make sure you get a good nights sleep, set 5 alarms, and eat breakfast!
You will do great :)
Thank you everyone for the kind words and encouragement! I will let you guys know as soon as I get the results. I wont do the PV trick as I have heard it is unreliable in some cases. I'll pay the $8 to get the unofficial results from Pearson on Thursday. It will be a crazy 48 hours thats for sure.
