I posted here because I know a bunch of you took it not too long ago - maybe you can try to remember back... I hear the science portion is really random, so I am wondering if I need to have A&P 2 and Micro-Bio under my belt before this exam, or can I take it without?

The science is very random, only 3 questions from A&P I, a lot of life science, some basic chemistry. But yes, very random.
so i guess that would be a yes? :-)

The TEAS is so basic in the science section, you can take it without A&P and Micro for sure. If I remember correctly, my TEAS had only 1 A&P question and no micro but that was 3-4 years ago. You should refresh yourself with basic geology, ecology, and physical science. Maybe also check out some basic chemistry and physics concepts. Most of the content was on topics I had covered in 7th to 9th grade science class.
Good Luck! :)

(I'm 33.) crap. i'm taking chem right now, so i guess i've got that covered. thanks for your post :) i'm trying to get an idea of when to take the test. I've got to have my application to school in by Jan15 2011- so i was hoping to be able to take the test right after my summer semester when i have a nice month-long break. yay!

order the study book at atitesting.com because it gives you pretty much an outline of what to study... but honestly, focus on the math because that's the most accurate section that they actually cover in the study guide... the TEAS test for all the rest of the sections is pretty much random as mentioned above. but yes do order the study guide it definitely helps and gives you an idea of what the questions are like.

I've been told the TEAs covers material similar to the GED test. If you can go to the library and grab a GED study guide. It was very basic material, as stated above certainly things covered in middle school .
Good luck.
