Hello everyone, I'm in some need of help right now.
I'm a high school student that decided to take up nursing and am currently trying to apply to some private nursing schools in the New York City area. One of the schools that I chose was the Long Island College Hospital School of Nursing. Until recently, they use to allow the NLN as the examination requirement but now they changed it to the TEAS exam (which I think is nothing more than a duplicate of the ACT...). I tried to find a website or something that allows me to register for the TEAS exam, but I haven't found anything. Their website says that they would provide information on the exam after January 15th, but I can't really believe that because I had to call them to put their application on the site two months after it was promised.
Does anyone know where to register for this exam?

Have you contacted the school you are trying to get into? The school I am applying for has you take the TEAS at their own testing center.

The school I am in had us take the TEAS. It is the Test of Essential Academic Skills. Check out http://www.atitesting.com/global/students/teas.aspx
They offer a booklet that you can order and it will review the different sections of the test and the basic info that you will be tested on. I think they may now offer some sample questions on-line. (It has been over two years since I took it.) Good Luck!!
And yes, if your school is requiring you to take the test, they administer it. I would try the testing center?? Most schools have one that is all computers and all they do is administer tests....they should have a schedule of when it is offered. Good Luck!
