TEAS algebra word problems

Published

I am not sure why I am having a total brain lapse trying to set up these easy algebra word problems in this study guide, something I normally do with ease, I think it is stress and over studying. My question is how many of you you who already took this test ran into alot of word problems involving setting up equations on your test? And if so how many? Thanks ahead of time.:specs::specs:

I've been taking the online TEAS test; I need to go pick up the study guide this week. I'm having the same issues too. They seem so simple, and yet I'm wracking my brain over how to solve them. About half I can do, the other half I can't.

Does anyone know of any good websites for algebra help?

purplemath.com, algerbra.com are some good sites that helped hen I was taking algerbra.

Good luck!

i honestly dont remember because i work thru word problems like theyre nothing. but i want to say at least 5. probably 2 or 3x that though.

Thanks all, let me clarify I am not having problems with all word problems, just the one that require you to set up equations with variable, I can solve any equation, and most word problems, but I am having the hardest time setting up these. I hope I am making sense, my brain is fried right now.

I don't recall there being any problems like that on the test. There was actually only a couple of algebra problems and a couple of geometry and foil problems. Other than that it was basic math, long addition, fractions, percents, and decimals.

Oh, that's good to know. :)

I picked up the sample test book from my college. It's actually really good. I've never been all that great at math, but with the way this book is explaining things, I actually understand and am doing pretty good.
