I've finally decided to take the plunge and wish to enroll in a nursing program. I'm located in Chicago, IL and would prefer an RN/ADN program that did not have a massive wait list. I've investigated several suburban schools but it appears that most have a residency preference.
Because I will be continuing my education and don't plan to pursue a BSN, time is a huge factor. As such, I would really appreciate any feedback and suggestions you might have. I realize that I have to get my CNA and I can enroll in a program offered through a hospital or city colleges over the summer. I'm open to public and private school programs. Thanks in advance!

City colleges don't have a waiting list, just be careful which one you apply to. I think apps come out in October?
Thanks for the advice. I'm starting classes at Oakton this summer and will be completing my CNA as well.
