Hey gang! i haven't posted in sooo long, but that's what college does to you. it sucks away all your time and energy... but hey, it will all be worth it in the end.
I have decided to go into the Coast Guard. That way I can do marine science and nursing... and not explain the "odd combination" so much. i am still a pre nursing major, at a 4 year university. In another year or so, I plan on transfering to the technical college across from my university to get my RN degree... I'm taking courses here that will have me ahead of the game. I am taking advanced health and first aid... and once i pass the class I can become cpr certified (i'm saving myself a $75 lab fee at the tech school by taking it here.) :)
Now my question is, do you think it would be a good idea to become a paramedic while in college? I know that intro has nothing to do with my question.... but that's my question all the same. What can i expect as a paramedic? things that tug at my heart? I plan on specializing in burns so i should be okay right? any advice will be appreciated. thanks!
