STCC (Mass)

Anyone here apply?

Published

I've applied for the 2024 cohort at STCC (as well as a backup school) and I'm wondering if anyone else has applied.

I'm not sure what my chances are because they don't have their selection formula published anywhere and the staff was (probably intentionally) vague whenever I asked how competitive I was. I've got a bachelor's in another field, but had to retake all the required science classes here, and still have Micro pending right now which doesn't help me. I'm also an EMT. My TEAS and science retake grades are all over the place.

Hello,

I have also applied to the programs.  Did you hear anything back yet?

YES! I got the acceptance email on Monday. I'm so excited and couldn't believe it.

That's great! Congrats!

I also receive the email!

Was that the only school you applied to?

I applied to a 2nd school as backup, did not here anything from them. Their selection formula emphasizes TEAS score and A&P grades quite heavily and doesn't appear to give any advantage to prior healthcare or degrees. My scores and grades were kinda "meh" so I'm not holding out much hope of getting accepted their, but I'd decline either way so it's irrelevant I guess!

I talked to someone at STCC this week and I guess they were giving more emphasis to health care certification and experience. My EMT experience probably helped me out a ton.

I was accepted into the program. im an lpn so I think that came into play.

Anyone an out of state student?
