Software sugestions needed!!

Hello fellow home health nurses. I'm a case manager for home health and we currently use a software called Healthcare first. We do a combination of paper and electronic charting. (Combination because we enter OASIS and create 485's electronically but then print them to go into the paper chart).

Our company is looking to switch software programs. We want to eventually go all electronic and have devices for all the field staff.

So, can I get some recommendations? I want to hear what you all like and what you don't like. If you've used more than one, which one you like better and why. We probably don't want to get one where we have to have our own server but other than that we're open to pretty much anything user friendly.

Thanks so much for your help!

Good luck in your search. We also use Healthcare First. I am a fan of Microsoft so it works well for me. However, it is torture to chart on iPad/iPod.

We use Brightree software. It is easy to learn and fairly user friendly. The only issue I have is how long it takes to complete all of the visits. We have big bulky laptops and it's not practical to take them into patient homes. Brightree is comparable with iPads but we don't have the funds for them at the moment. I'm begging for them though! After making visits all day, it's at least 2 hours of charting at home every night! I hope this helps!
