SJSU Spring 2014

I applied! My GPA for the 5 prereqs is a 3.9 and my TEAs score is 84%.

My GPA was 3.65 and my TEAS was 90.7%. I really want to get in this semester

It is such a long wait until November. Does anyone know how to calculate the impaction score? The requirements for this semester are a lot different, so it is either going to be harder to get in or easier.

The impaction score is your GPA in the five prerequisites added to your TEAS score (divide your TEAS score by 23). So you would calculate it as 3.9 + (84/23) = 7.55

@quaaack thank you! What is your impaction score btw, if you do not mind me asking? Im curious as to what score most people have because the requirements changed for us this semester.

Also, are you guys applying to any other programs?

My score is 7.77. The only part that changed from the impaction criteria is that the program eliminated the GPA in the last 30 units. Another requirement the school/program changed is that Chem 30B is no longer required. I can't say if this makes it easier or harder for us to get in.

Oh wow, it looks like all you guys have a good chance!! I am also applying to Sac State and USF.

My impaction score is: 7.83. My GPA was 3.83 and my TEAS score was 92%. If I fail, I'm going to appply to CSUB, CSUS, CSUEB, and SFSU.

Anyone else who applied for SJSU's Spring 2014 nursing program?

Hah! You guys will all get in if everybody else who applied has my score.. 3.5 gpa of the 5 pre reqs and 84.5% on teas. Hope knowing my score will destress you guys lol.

I have no idea where else to apply if i dont get in, but seems like i have very little chance. Anyways luck for all of you guys!!

@Tina , Do not feel discouraged! I hope we find out if we get in soon... the waiting game sucks.

I also hope we get the results soon. The application said we'd hear back after about 6 weeks (which is almost up) but the secretary only said "before Thanksgiving." I feel so anxious
