Single mother wanting to join

I am a single mother of a 5 year old. I am 25yrs old and an ADN with 1.5yrs clinical RN experience. I am interested in joining the Reserves. What is your take on this? What is the best route to take? I was looking into the ROTC program but online I saw something about the age limit of 23? Also I am in the BSN program with University of Texas, graduation in Dec 2012. I want to join for personal growth and achievement. I ready for the challenge but my main concern is my son. How would this work?

    You can’t join with an ADN.

    There are now 3 wars going simultaneously so deployment taskings are just going to increase. Please make sure you have a family care plan in place with someone who can watch your child for a year while you are gone. Most of all get that BSN and come on in.
