Just wondering....do travel agencies offer sign on bonuses anymore?? Its seems like every agency I have talked to recently doesn't even mention them. Is that a thing of the past due to the economy/recession?

I just got my first assigment with nurse choice and they gave me one. Wasn't much of one but hey, I guess it was something! lol. But yes, I think b/c of the recession its hard for travel companies to find us the goodies on money.

I've been talking with a recruiter at Nursechoice lately. May I ask what city/hospital you are working at? She has been pushing me to take a job in Valdosta, GA but I cannot find out any information about the facility from anyone. I already have a CA nursing license and would rather go back there and work. Thanks much!

I"m working in San Antonio Texas at Santa Rosa Medical Center. Did they offer you anything in California? There has been tons of assignments all over there tho. I feel like every week I am offered to go there but I'm not ready to travel all the way over there quite yet.

My recruiter has mentioned jobs in northern California but I'm not sure where. I worked in LA for five months at Cedars Sinai. I don't recommend that hospital but LA is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I enjoy more country activities than city ones so I think something in Northern CA will be more to my liking and it pays better than LA or San Diego. Do you like Santa Rosa in TX? I was supposed to go there last December but it fell through at the last minute. I also have a compact nursing license so TX is a possibility at any time.
