SHSU Fall 2016 Nursing

As of right now my Pre-Nursing GPA is a 3.18 but I'm taking courses this Spring and if all goes well i can get it up to a 3.7. I made and 80 on the TEAS and plan to retake it for a higher grade. As of right now my overall GPA in Pre-requisite work is a 3.44 but once again i plan on that going up after the spring semester. I would love to hear from other people who are applying for fall 2016 :)

Hey! I'm trying to apply for the Fall 2016 as well! Do you mind me asking.. how did you study for the TEAS? I studied and just took it and failed it. :/ I think you're score is very well! I know somebody in the program with a 82 on the TEAS so you're score is awesome! :)

I just bought a study book from amazon and basically read through the entire thing lol. They have questions at the end of each section and some practice tests at the end of the book. It definitely helped a lot. Now that I have my scores I'm using Khan Academy to work on the subjects I didn't do so well in.

And thank you! :) it will help that you've taken it once and your score sheet should show you how you did in each individual section. Now you know what to expect and what you need to work on :)

Also, can we go into the nursing program with one course we didn't take? I heard we could go in with one prereq class

Yes that was the score i made on my first try, the test wasn't near as bad as i thought it would be!

From what I've been told by the SHSU advisors you have to have all of the prereqs done before you can submit your application, so they need to be done before the application deadline
