Seeking Advice

Published

Hello everyone,

I am currently an LVN, and have been for about 5 years. However I have been a stay at home mom for about a year now, so I feel that my skills aren't as sharp as they could be. I am currently attending a local community college here in California which offers the LVN to RN program. My hope is to find out if anyone out their has any good advice as to how I can prepare for the program (in terms of what to study/tools/good study habbits in preperation for the challenge exams) now while I am finishing up with my prerequisites? I have already purchased Saunders NCLEX-RN comprhensive review, but I feel that this alone just isn't enough. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much in advance!

I have been checking out websites that have been recommended by our fellow posters here on allnurses. There are some very good ones posted as stickys on this forum. I was surfing around the anatomy site that prmerns recommended (you'll find it as a sticky thread at the top of this forum) and it is wonderful!

I took my A&P, medical terminology, etc years ago and these sites have been a great help for de-rusting my brain. I love being on the computer, so finding and bookmarking these sites for future reference has really come in handy.

If you need math tutorials, worksheets, and quizzes purplemath.com has lots of great links.
