Section H CAA

Are most of you using the CAA for Section H, Bowel and Bladder, that CMS has? If not, what are you using? I don't mind the rest of the CAAs but the one for Section H drives me crazy!

Thank you!

It makes me nuts too. We don't have a bowel and bladder program right now. That is one of the things we are supposed to get back in place as well as revamp the restorative program.

Most of our residents have severe dementia and are unable to tell us when they need to go, so i just put that a program is not appropriate at this time. Incontinance shows up under skin breakdown and sometimes i just include there that the resident' s needs are tended to by staff who monitor for skin breakdown during care.
