Second time around!!! Help!!!

Yes I know there are already various threads about students taking anatomy and physiology and its difficulties....Im just excited to announce that after seven years of dropping outta college Im finally returning this fall and will be taking AnP1 along with a medical terminology course to start my pre nursing reqs.....!!! Any advice from pre nursing students please that have taken these classes?! I really want to go prepared and readay to ace them!!! Should I start studying..buying books...going over concepts..?? Is it really a difficult course like its been mentioned before???? Hope you have any feedback if not Im just so happy to share how excited and nervous I am to start school a second time!!!!!!:up::yes:

    My experience with A&P has been mostly memorization. Memorizing is not the best way to retain information, but it will get you through an exam. I would suggest that you spend a lot of time in the lab. I failed my first lab exam because I did not physically go to lab on my off days and view the types of tissues under the microscope, view the bones, etc. For the lab, I'd say hands-on (for me) was best. For the class portion, I just memorized and made flash cards.

    For perspective, I earned an A in both A&P I and II and maintained a 4.0 for all nursing pre-requisites. Good luck!

    I earned 4.0s in all three quarters of my A and P courses. It's mostly just a LOT of memorization. However, if you are a visual kinesthetic learner, a fun way to get your feet wet is to get an A and P coloring book. Here's the link to a great one:

I really needed this especially since I have two entire months to prepare well before the fall semester starts...how awesome that you guys aced the class I hope I make that A too ...Im so nervous about the lab part its been a long time since I been in a learning environment, just don't know what to expect...and also don't how I will manage working n going to school at the same time..???wish me luck tho...thanx again:)
