Scottish Practice Nurse

Hi All

Sorry for crashing your forum and i hope you dont mind - was hoping you could help me out.

My husband and i are hoping to emigrate to Australia sometime in the next 18m.

I have e=been a practice nurse for 4 years now. At present i am a senior practice nurse in a busy medical centre in Scotland. My duties include venepuncture, wound management, travel immunisations, Chronic disease management for COPD/Asthma/Diabetes, cervical smears and i am also a nurse prescriber.

I know there are practice nurses in Australia -but i wondered if anyone could give me an idea if what i do in my current job would be applicable to work in Australia?, do you need particular qualifications to do the job (you dont really here)? are they easy to come by? (they are in high demand here), Any ideas on salary?

any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
