I am about to graduate LPN school here in TX. I am looking for RN schools in WA state. I am currently a Police Officer in Texas. I do have a background of investigations. I am really interested in becoming a SANE nurse. Can anyone recommend a school in WA for RN (maybe even BSN). Can anyone maybe suggest a educational path that might help getting into SANE. Thanks!

I may be biased, but an EXCELLENT nursing school in WA is the Intercollegiate College of Nursing. The website is nursing.wsu.edu

Are you looking for 2 year or 4 year? UW in Seattle has a good program for BSN, Clark Comm College in Vancouver has a good associate's program.
As for SANE - after you obtain your RN license, look for SANE courses in the state. The state may offer a yearly course (as Oregon does), and there are multiple private courses around also. A good website to look through is http://www.sane-sart.com
Good luck.

Another resource for post-RN SANE training is http://www.iafn.org This is the only certifying body for SANE specialties at this time, and has resources linked to various states. In my own area, you attend classroom and practical training after you are hired to work in the SANE unit ... so that's another option.
Good luck w/ your education, and congrats on all you've done so far :)
