Hi everyone :)
I'm currently in college and expect to graduate in Dec2007 with a major in psychology and a minor in biological sciences. I'm strongly considering entering nursing (I would do an accelerated BSN program after this college.)
I've noticed that whenever military nursing is discussed, its just for the Army/Navy/Air Force (I know Marines fall under Navy so they don't have their own nurses.) How about the US Coast Guard? Do they commission their own RNs?
I searched their webpage and the net, and all I could find was that the USCG gets their nurses through the US Public Health Service. So does this mean one can't be in the Coast Guard as a RN?
Any info about the Coast Guard, particularly nursing, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!:)
