Hello everyone, I'm looking to apply to the Rutgers Accelerated BSN program that starts during Fall 2014. However, due to the merge of Rutgers nursing school with UMDNJ, it seems like there have been a couple of changes in their prerequisites. They now require that students have a 3.3 GPA in order to be considered for admission. I double majored during undergrad at Rutgers and have a bachelors degree in Communication and Sociology, but I graduated with a 3.0 GPA. Does anyone know if this will affect me? Do I still have a chance of being considered??

If they say you need a certain GPA to be considered then more than likely you won't be considered if your GPA isn't at the required number. :
I could be wrong though, so I would contact the nursing admissions office and ask them. :)

I hate when schools change requirements like that on you! But that is the way it is. I suggest calling the admissions program and asking them about it, they will know how to answer your question exactly. You may need to go back to school and take a few classes to increase that GPA. That is what I'm doing so that I can get into nursing school too :-)
