Roane State (RSCC) Nursing Program

Published

Roane State states that you only have to have a certain G.P.A, 12 hours completed, and pass the pre-admission nursing exam in order to be accepted into the nursing program. Is this accurate or is it more competitive than this?

This is my first semester and right now I am taking English, College Algebra, Philosophy, Developmental Psychology, and General Biology. Right now I have all A's, so by the end of the semester I should have all A's, possibly one B. (Next semester I'll have Micro biology, AP I, and speech.. And AP II over the summer)

Is this enough to get accepted into the program?

*Thanks*

Also, How difficult is the admissions test? And what all does it over?

that is just the minimum, it is very competitive. you have to have your math done before you apply aswell. Your GPA is based on only classes going toward your Nursing. so its best to get a's in A&Ps and math. you get extra points for that. I'm waiting on my letter to come in may.. also only the classes you take up untill fall count toward what they look at since they do the process in spring hope this helps ya a little and good luck:)

oh yeah the test is not bad at all, just study the math in the study guide and the reading, thats all that was on mine i passes it with a great score, book saved me! lots of ratios percents and conversions
