Mentor types. Sites: Many sites are appropriate for practicum, including hospitals, health systems, consulting firms, insurance companies, government health agencies, and other sites where informatics professionals manage health-related information system

Mentor Options; EHR Director, Project Manager, computer educator, system builder, analyst, Director of Informatics or Quality, or IT Nurse

Mentor must have direct supervision of personnel in the informatics areas within the organization (I.e., manager, director, executive director, VP, CNIO, Assistant CNIO, CNIQO, innovation VP). In addition, the mentor should have organizational responsibility for assigning large scale organization wide projects.
