RN

I work in an 11 bed Acute InPt rehab unit. Since health care reform census has been  6-8. Admin is trying to drop our pt ratio to 1/6. Meaning no other nurse until 7th pt.  I fill like this is a safety issue because we are at the far end of the hospital. 99% of hospital has no clue where we are. Which means if their is a code/RRT support staff will spend more time trying to figure out where we are vs caring for the pt. 

I was wondering how other small rehab units deal with this
