Retaking Nclex

Published

Hello everyone I am new to this forum and after reading everyones discussions on the NCLEX I felt it was time that I signed up! Anyways I took the NCLEX for my first time on the 19th and did not make the passing standard :( I am still very depressed and even more anxious that now I feel more pressure to pass it the second time which I am hoping I can retest mid-late august. I wanted to ask if anyone knows how long it takes to receive the ATT after you submit the reapplication by mail I want to be able to pick my date because I feel it will motivate me more that I am scheduled to take it again and PRAY that I pass this 2x around. If anyone also have any tips or advice it will be very helpful! I did hire a NCLEX tutor for 6wks and hoping it will gain me more confidence in myself and prepare me to take another chance at this exam! - Thank you

Hi! I also didn't pass the first time so I understand how you feel. I live in California and received my ATT about 3 weeks after sending the check and application. After that I was able to schedule my test when I paid for my NCLEX. Good luck and I'm sure you will pass!

When are you scheduled to retest? You will do GREAT! & thank you : )

Thank you! I actually took my test last week (June 24th) so still awaiting my results! :)

I am sure you did AMAZING! Did you try the "trick" to try and re-register to see if the "pop-up" comes up? Usually its a good sign you passed if it gives you the pop-up :) Is there any advice you can send my way in order to make sure I do well the 2x

I'm deathly afraid to do the person vue trick because the first time I took the test, I got the CC page. I feel a lot more confident this time, but I think I'm just going to hold off until I get my official letter :) well I studied a lot! If you have ATI, do that a lot! The questions are harder than the actual nclex. Also, I bought Saunders book and read most of it. The questions were really helpful to me. I studied about 3-4 hours a day for a month and I think that's what really helped me. The first time I slacked off and didn't study till about a week before :o just keep doing questions, read the rationales and I'm sure you will be fine!

Thank you so much! Keep me posted on your result I'm sure you knocked it out the park!!!!! Yea I got a private tutor so that has been boosting up my confidence a bit :) trying to so at least 100-200 questions a day with rationales
