Resume Help Needed :) Thx

Hello all!

I am a nursing student finishing out my last semester before graduation and I am starting prep on my resume. I have used the same format since I was 16 years old and it assisted me in getting my a nursing home job that year (I have worked there for 5 yrs now), a second nursing home job, and lastly, an internship on an Oncology unit over this past summer.

I have recently updated it with many things and it stretched into two pages. I condensed it down into a page but took out a lot of descriptions and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on resume structure.

What worked for you and what have people suggested?

In short do you recommend...

the "short and sweet resume" that will hopefully spark their interest and you will be able to explain further in interviews

OR

the "detail orientated resume" that is longer and therefore runs the risk of having sections over looked, but shows more professional reflection/growth

Thanks for your time! :)
