Requirements needed for the 2nd Entry program 2010

Hello all,

Im currently in the midst of applying for the Accelerated Program at:

Queens

Western

U of T

Trent

York

and Ottawa

(can you tell, i'm NERVOUS! haha)

It would be helpful if anyone knew the grades needed in order to be accepted, I know the minimum requirements needed, I read all of their websites many many times haha ! I would just like to know more about what they're looking for.

The stats courses required i got B

the Physiology courses i got a C+ (bad i know, but i took them in my second year, and i was a dummy!!)

and the anatomy course i ended up getting a B-

My last 10 credits should average out to a B+ / A- average by the end of my 4th year (i'm trying/caring much more) but i still can't shake off the bad grades I had in my first two years of university!

Can anyone relate?

hiya..

i am applying to ottawau for the 2nd-entry program beginning may 2010, and have met with the program co-ordinator a few times already. ottawau's program in particular is relatively new (in its third year), and i was told that last year there were about 100 people applying for 8-10 spots, whereas this year they expect to have about 24 spots available. last year's average was 7.9 (on a 10.0 gpa scale), whereas this year's is expected to be slightly lower (maybe 7.7) due to the increased spots available.

i have been a student at ottawau for the past year, trying to complete all my nursing prereqs and am nearly done! (finishing my last 2 anatomy courses right now) and have also taken additional pharmacology and microbiology courses to give myself an edge in the application process. my average is currently 8.1 on the 10.0 scale (about 80-81%) so i am really hoping i get in!

i can definitely sympathize with the anxiety of the process. unfortunately i don't know anything about the other programs as i am counting on ottawa, and really only want to go to ottawa since i am already living here.

good luck!

shan.
