repeating classes for acceptance at umb

hey everyone. I recieved a C in my general chemistry course and a C+ in my intro to psych class, but I have recieved all A's and B's in my other courses. Should I repeat chem or psych?? how does umb look at repeating courses especially science courses?

If it were me, I would absolutely repeat Chem. No question. The core sciences are weighed very heavily in your admissions process. The psych...not so sure. Depends on what all your other grades are.

If you don't mind risking the $50 application fee, you can always apply before retaking Chem and see what happens. You can apply while something is in progress. Do you have all of your other core sciences completed?

I would say your chem is more of a concern not so much the psyche. Did you complete your other core sciences? and what is your GPA for those? If those are A's then you are safe to stick with the C in chem. I had B's in my core sciences and a C in micro and still got admitted. But then again my overall GPA was 3.65 and I was a prior Army medic, which may have given me some bonus points towards consideration. If you can do it, I say just chance it and pay the $50 and apply with the C in chem (given you are ready in all the pre-req courses), you never know whats gonna happen! Good luck!
