Reference Books for EP/ Cath Lab Nurse

For EP, try "Electrophysiologic Testing" by (I think) Dan Fogoros. It's the best, brief, down-and-dirty EP read out there. It's a little old, but most of the info is quite relevant. Be advised that it won't cover more modern 3-d mapping systems and such. Any of your pacemaker reps can provide you with volumes of information about PPMs and ICDs. They love to do that.

I know there are various cath lab books out there, but I don't think they're very helpful. Just brush up on your hemodynamics and basic cardiac anatomy, pay attention during your orientation, and you'll be set.

I am a nurse of 25 years. Spent 15 years in ICU. Have been in same day surgery for 10 years. I am transferring to EP lab/ Cath Lab. Looking for some GOOD reference books to help me feel more comfortable in:confused: my new position I am taking in 3 weeks. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks:lol2:

i don't know of any books off the top of my head but I would encourage you to visit a few good websites I know of, if you haven,t already found them: Cathlab.com and try to ggogle SICP and Wess Todd last I looked they both had some good info on their websites.
