? re: CA NCLEX date

Hi. I graduate in May 2008, I live in CA. I was wondering how long it takes from the time you apply for the NCLEX until the date that you take the test? Someone told me that it takes 4 months. Is this right? I don't want to wait 4 months from the time I graduate before I can take the NCLEX ): Thanks.

Well I can't speak for myself (because I don't graduate until Dec.) but all the gals I know from the most recent graduation class are taking the NCLEX anywhere from as early as mid June to whenever they want I suppose. A good portion of them are taking it in July and August. Usually just a few weeks from when you get your ATT, though I guess that could vary from area to area.
