Rate for Medical Supervisor

I'm not a lawyer, but based on my colleagues' experience in Texas, the rates depend heavily on the type of supervision and the scope of responsibility. Most often, I see a range of $1,500–$3,500 per month for formal supervision (chart review, protocols, availability), or $100–$200 per hour for more active involvement. If the physician participates in developing clinical protocols, QA, audits, and is available for consultations, the price is usually higher. I highly recommend clearly specifying in the contract: the volume of chart review, availability, responsibility, malpractice coverage, and termination conditions – this significantly affects the final rate.
