questions:

Full name and occupation title:

Jody I am presently an LPN Licensed Practical Nurse and I am working towards my BSN

What education or schooling is required to be a Pediatric nurse?:

Obviously one can be an LPN and work with Peds. I work in a physicaians office and the hospital right now. The kind of education you will need depends on whether or not you decide to specialize in pediatrics, you can be certified as a pediatric nurse or just work in the field and make it a specialty in your knowledge base

What is an average day like for you job?:

Average days for us are very busy. There are some days when our office sees well over 100 patients. and one definately has to have patience to put up with some of the parents!

What are the working conditions in your workplace?:

The working conditions are very busy, but interesting and always educational.

How satisfying is it to be a pediatric nurse?:

Yes, very much so.

:Optional: What is your average salary/wage?:

any other comments about Pediatric nursing: it can be both rewarding but heartbreaking when children have a terminal illness or are maltreated. Unfortunately that happens all to often in this country.

If someone could answer these, it would help me so much and be very usueful for my paper. thanx! :D
