Hello All, I am new to this whole website, so bare with me. I am applying for a AS in Nursing at Rockland Community College and I am having a hard time with the whole application process. They claim that its not based on a waiting list process any more. But its funny how they told me I might not get in until Fall 2011. I find this awful. They have been telling me different dates that I would possibly be admitted. I sent in an application Feb. 2010 and took the NLN RN Pre Entrance exam like they told me. Boy was that stressful. I got the grades back and was sort of pleased. They were good but not that good. What can I do my test anxiety was pretty up there. However, my performance in the class room does not reflect my standardize test scores. I do well in school and work very hard. Tests in the class room are not too stressful and I can handle them, so that's a plus. Now, I have done a lot of my prerequisites completed and I am about to finish this semester. What should I do in regards of waiting for this RCC Nursing program to even send me some sort of notice that they received my applications and what not? And if I wanted to go to another college, say Dominican College, would they accept my NLN scores even though they want TEAS exam scores? I know this is a mouth full, but your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You http://img.an-file.info/smilies/smile.gif
So, this problem is pretty much done. I got my acceptance letter fall 2010 and started spring 2011. I passed my first two nursing classes, both fundamentals courses. Boy were they difficult. Now I am going on to the next two courses. So excited!!!!
