I have a question?

Is it common practice for an a d n to teach in any state?

Specializes in surgical, emergency.

Sorry I'm a little out of the loop, education wise, but here's my :twocents:

In days gone by, not so much, then, BSN seemed to be the minimum, but it seems any more BSN is not good enough, and most of the instructors I know are DR.

Or at least MSN working on their doctorate.

Again, I'm not too absolutely sure, but like I said, the instructors I know, from OU RN program are mostly, are all MSN to Dr.

Mike

Specializes in Med/Surg.

ADN's can teach an LPN class but not a college level class. Mimimum requirement is an MSN.

Thanks for the reply's

So an adn can teach an lpn class, ?Is there laws regarding who can or who can not?

This just seems strange to me, my preschooler's teacher has her bachelors degree.

is an ADN teaching normal practice? I mean is it something I can expect to be able to do with some experiance?

sorry only more questions ?:typing
