question

Hi, I am just getting ready to start a new Oncology position after being in Interventional Radiology and want to know if there are any good books to get to help with the transition. I'm really excited, I've never worked in oncology and could use a good reference book.

Thanks

The only books I've used is the core curriculum of oncology nursing -I read it to prepare for my OCN exam- andCase Studies in Oncology Nursing: Text and Review -my boss co-wrote it . The former has the information, the latter has the scenarios.

With the internet, I find the quick reference books cumbersome.

You may want to join the oncology nursing society. They have tons of references. Also there are local chapters that usually have education dinners monthly!

Good Luck!
